It can also be used to create contact groups to help you better, faster connect with the people that matter to you most. Unfortunately, contact group creation currently can't be done on the iPhone or iPad. First, open the group chat you want to rename and click “Details” in the upper-right corner. Then, click on “Add a group name” from the resulting drop-down menu. Type in your new group name and hit Enter.
